LOL Orenda....

I agree that people are too sensitive in the world, but that doesn't change the fact that there are rules here, and its our responsibility as members to abide by them...like 'em or not, they ARE the rules, know what I mean?
Great edit, Bob.

Thought for the day: When the traditional swear words become acceptable in everyday conversation, what do we do when we're really mad & want to cuss? ::)

I can just see it now. "I hit my thumb with a hammer. Oh botheration.................!" Somehow it doesn't have quite the same effect for me. ::)

Myth:The word "crap" is derived from Thomas Crapper's name.

Fact: The origin of crap is still being debated. Possible sources include the Dutch Krappe; Low German krape meaning a vile and inedible fish; Middle English crappy, and Thomas Crapper. Where crap is derived from Crapper, it is by a process know as, pardon the pun, a back formation.

The World War I doughboys passing through England brought together Crapper's name and the toilet. They saw the words T. Crapper-Chelsea printed on the tanks and coined the slang "crapper" meaning toilet.

The legend of Thomas Crapper takes its flavor from the real man's life. While Crapper may not be the inventor of the product he is most often associated with, his contribution to England's plumbing history is significant. And the man's legend, well, it lives on despite all proof to contrary.

A bit of crap trivia..... ;D

calcium cow pat. Uuuhhh well yeah swearing shows lack of intelligence because you can't substitute those words with meaningful ones.

Hey even I use them too often but most people do. Maybe your trying to establish your individuality by showing your self to be a "rebel". Rebels never get nice high paying jobs though. You gotta realise this before you can do whatever you want.

I spent Six years in the Marine Corps and 15 working as a mechanic. The result is a mouth that makes a longshoreman blush. I try to keep it G-rated here though, because of the nature of what we're doing. I'm sure this sight holds an appeal for the young kids, as well as us old ones. Now that I have a young daughter, this is a subject which is relevant to me. I spend a lot of time in Jamaica, and as result, pick up a lot a phrases. So if I cuss now, I try to do it in Jamaican. Although I don't know if the end result is what I was looking for??? My daughter now walks around the house calling the dog a "Boomba Clod!" :o :) :) :)
.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

But I'm not English so I can say that.
Just thought I'd lighten things up around here. As most of you know, things have been getting too serious around here lately.
[center]I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. ;)

calciumcowpat used this word earlier, so if he has a bone to pick he should pick it with me.
Frankly he was asking for help (which I provided) and after the recent trouble I asked him not to use course language please, as I'm sure we all remember what happened.
