interesting report, there are a few shall we say, questionable comments in it, i would hardly call anything the iraqi airforce had advanced, especially the mig 25. and their 29's were apparently in rather sorry state before all this kicked off anyway.

I wonder how much they'll want for one when they appear on eBay? I'll put in a few quid for a 25 or 29 ;D

I thought the bulk of the Iraqi Airforce fled to Lybia and Syria before and during the first Gulf War ???.
The Mig 25 however was never a capable fighter, it was/is fast as hell but thats it. It was however a good recon platform. The Mig 29 is still a match for most western fighters provided the pilots are trained to the same standards as NATO pilots.

Wow, that's sneaky!
Aircraft destroyed in prior wars were littered across the airfield to make it more difficult for bombers to choose their targets.

sneaky yeah but it works 8)
most airforces do this kinda thing at some point in their history. The Brittish Army even hired a magician to build a wooden tank brigade in the desert during WWII

The americans have been trying that out too with inflated stuff. ;D
Its real freaky, the camera is sitting in a bush looking at a full sized and very real looking M1 tank, and some guy come along and picks it up with one arm and throws it onto a truck! :o :P

Ah yes, the flying tank over the brecon beacons i seem to recall.

Just before the invasion of 1944 we built whole mock armies and navies in south east england. This included inflatable tanks, wooden ships, and stick men with hats. ;D

It worked!
