B-1 Fly-over...

Postby Wing Nut » Mon Jul 21, 2003 5:58 pm

Living under the departure route for the main runway at O'Hare, I am used to hearing 737's, 777's, and 747's take off all day long.  Since the picture window in my living room looks out right along the flight path, it is usually a cool site when I am sitting watching TV or reading or on the computer to look up when I hear one and watch it fade off into the distance, heading who knows where.

Today, I got a nice little surprise when I heard an enormous roar and looked out the window to see a B-1 bomber on it's way up to Osh-Kosh.  Incredible site, that...  Awesome airplane.  There have been planes passing through O'Hare all week on their way up to EAA.  In a way I get my own little air show!
