hows this for bad sunday

Postby Craig. » Sun Jul 20, 2003 9:32 am

:) here goes.
i got one hour sleep last night, i woke up after said hour with a migrane, i get told by dad we couldnt goto fairford due to cost, by the end of the day, we figured the cost would have been same thanks to my sister, then while bowling, i break my left middle finger, i was messing around with one of the tiny balls and my thumb wouldnt fit in the hole and the other two fingers would only fit halfway in, so i hold it flat in palm and try to roll it, as i am on the way down, it was to close to ground and hit the floor, my middle, finger snaps back fully in the middle between the knuckle and that first knuckle apparently they could hear the snap from way back over by seats, over the noise of the neighbouring kids party:( i am going to have to goto hospital tomorow to get it sorted fully, my fault, but it has been a really bad day.
and i missed the grand prix:(
moral of the story, do not mess with little bowling balls, it'll come back to bute you in the ass if you show off:)

I broke my finger once and it hurt like anything.  Had my hand in a cast for 6 weeks.  Funny thing, when I broke it, I had to drive 90 miles to get home for my insurance to pay.  It was hurting like anything, and I was driving to keep my mind off of it.  We stopped for sodas and when I pulled mine out of the cooler, it slipped and when I caught it, my finger popped back into alignment.  After that, it barely hurt anymore.  It was still broken, but it didn't hurt.  Ouch... :'(

insurance companys are really strange:)
i dont know why i am even going to the doctors tomorow, i know all they will do is wrap it in a tight strapping with cotton wool in the middle, i have been through this a number of times, mainly because of playing cricket:) i was told last time its best to get it checked to make sure that it will heal normally?

Got that right...  Sit in agony for hours, get an X-ray, sit in agony again for a few more hours and then after all that get it bandaged up with cotton and tape which they could of done right at the begining. Been there done that.
Tough luck mate, you missed a real fantastic airshow. :( I missed the F1 aswell so your not alone, damn work. >:(

That was then...  I can't complain about our current one.  They paid over $200,000 for hospitalizing my niece and $80,000 for my wife and I to get pregnant.  They have actually been reasonably cool about everything considering.  It really depends on which company you get I guess...
