well its Grand Prix weekend, the frnech grand prix.
a couple of points to this topic really
1st:whos gonna win(prob Montoya)

2nd:am i the only one who has noticed the new F1 cars are starting to revert to their old shapes, i believe it was 96 maybe 97 where some teams changed the style of the nose from the traditional intergrated nose wing, to the bullet nose low wing.  as of late the noses are slowly going back to that intergrated nose wing style.

3rd: should they reconsider the tire rule, the one where they are required to have the grooves in them, the rule was introduced deliberatly and specifically to slow the cars down, in the 4-5 years its been in effect it has failed to slow the cars down and has infact made them closer to 30mph faster. Personally i think bringing back the old smooth tires would actually slow them down for a number of years while teams try to adjust again for that change. and also should they get rid of the two tire company rule, they have changed alot of the tracks this year which now gives a huge advantage to michelin teams, they say they want to even up the field to make things more competetive but some of the things these days are making it impossible for that to happen

Sorry for such a long winded post, but hey questions, thoughts, comments, suggestions are all welcome:)

As for winning I'd have to begrudgingly say Michle Schumacher and if I'm really optimistic David Coulthard.

Interesting comment on the front wing. I did notice when they changed it to the bullet nose but Haven't noticed it reverting back but I prefer them with the bullet nose.

As for the tires I don't car how fast they go as long as its exciting.

I totally agree with Crumbso....I think its a foregone conclusion as to how good Micheal Schumacher is.....with the strength that Ferarri is showing now, its a tough combination......as far as the car design, ....when did they stop the 6-wheel Tyrells.......... ::)  ::)  ::)

1)Well,being a Ferrari fan I want to say Michael Schumacher but Williams is looking very strong this weekend so I'd go with Ralf Schumacher for the win.

2)I haven't noticed the change back-are you sure you aren't watching reruns? ;D just kidding.lol

3)Well,look at the tires on most the cars by the end of the race-they basically are slicks again.lol

I stopped being an F-1 fan when they sprouted wings ... although it was fun watching the Brabham biplanes and Jackie Stewart in the 6-wheel Matra...

sigh - for the days when the drivers were fat and the tires were skinny...

Actually one of the first names that I can remember hearing about when I was a kid, was Mike Hawthorn....and Vanwall was a name from that period too........I still think the Flying Scotsman was the drivers driver.............

what i mean by the nose is, they are slowly going back to the old shape they have completely gone there yet, but most teams now have a nose that curves right down to the front wing, still some seperation but its not the straight point it used to be.

I dont think schumachers chances are to high today as lurch said williams seem to be looking very strong.

although that watching reruns idea is a good one, more exciting, those cars looked so much nicer:)

I got to watch the first 20 Laps but had to come to work >:(

Ralph was winning by miles and michael was not Hee Hee Hee.  I've always been a Williams supporter because when I was about six I thought they had named the team after me LOL.

Why do I support coulthard?

The only time he really does well is Monte Carlo

but he does have the nicest looking car.

You must be one of those people who likes the look of classic cars since that is last year's car ;Dhaha.
Talking about that-I hear they(McLaren) may not bring out their new car at all this year.
