Sorta FS Related...

Postby Scottler » Wed Jun 25, 2003 9:54 am

Hey everyone....I've got a question that is only moderately related to Flight Simulator, so I'm hoping they'll allow it here.

We've recently set up our new VA, and we've got a temporary site up at www.flyhyperion.tk (it's a redirect to Yahoo! Geocities...bleck.)

We don't want to go spending the cash on a domain just yet, until we see how well we're going to go.

But the problem is, I can't seem to find a decent web host!  Geocities site builder is great...very easy to use.  But I've noticed that the grapics are becoming mutilated when we post them.  (Take a look for yourself if you want to see what I mean.)

Where do you guys think the best place to host a site for a VA would be?  Since my knowledge of HTML is very limited, and I don't currently have MSFP, I'd need something that is WYSIWYG (drag and drop).

Any suggestions?  Thanks!
Great edit, Bob.

Indeed, that's where we started our site.  But I wasn't very fond of the seven page limit.  (Most sites offer a GB or a MB limit, not a page limit.)

Also, I didn' t like their templates, and I just never got the hang of their HTML utility.  (Even though I know a tiny bit of HTML..the interface was weird.)

I've found a few other options that I'm gonna check out.  Thanks!
Great edit, Bob.
