We Were Soldiers Once... And Young' by (ret) LT. GEN Harold G. Moore and Joseph L. Galloway. Very interesting. In fact, I happened to read on page 24 about a Captain Louis R. Lefebvre who was a native of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. That's the town I live in

I read further later on that he was wounded and had to be evac'ed out of the La Drang Valley on November 14, 1965 which was the first day of the battle portrayed in the movie
We Were Soldiers. I looked in the phone book and found a couple local listings for Lefebvre but no Louis Lefebvre. My grandmother told me that he died a while ago.

She also told me that a husband of one of my mom's co-workers went to school with him.
