Well done Fozzer - Old Bean.  :D
That site could come in very handy. I've found from experience that New is not always best. For example, I find my WinZip 7.0 suits me better than the latest version 8.1.

I have several programs that won't leave my add/remove programs list,  The original tweakUI could eliminate those, but the one with Windows XP can't.  I'm hoping the older one will still work.

Hi kd... ;D...!
After I posted the "Tweak ui" link, I thought I would give it a try myself....
Downloaded it, "installed" it, but it just got dumped in my Windows > Temp folder.... :'(... :'(.... :'(...!
There doesn't seem to be an .exe, (executeable), file included in the download, so that it doesn't install itself...
A successfull install should put a "Tweak UI", Icon in your Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel folder, but for some reason

I have TweakUI for W98.  It's a very strange install and you have to RTFM.  As I recall you have to move the .inf file to the windows folder then right click and select "install".

As long as you read the instructions you won't have any problems.

...and for all those who are REALLY fed-up with Real Player, or the latest, over-complicated, versions of Windows Media Player, you can always go back to simple, good-old, mplayer2, my all-time favourite...LOL...!
(Some of the older versions of MSN Messenger are worth a look-at too)... ;)...!

Cheers all... ;D...!

Fozzer,

You are absolutely on track with the media players.  I have WiMP 7 only because it will do a few things that WiMP 6 wouldn't.  I can't see any reason to "upgrade" from that.  But I still have 6, just in case.

RealOne is loaded with spyware so I stick with RealPlayer 8.  Of course for music nothing can beat Winamp.  I still use 2.80 because even Winamp admits that 3.x doesn't sound better.
