I don't know if anyone of you has ever seen a BBC production called Over Here.
Its about a Spitfire pilot, and a gunner from a B17. It has shown on BBC Prime a couple of times. Its the funniest and most poignant war movie ever I think.

I guess if we're talking about war hero film stars, we have to mention Audy Murphy, who not only won more Medals of Honour in one day than all the US forces put together, but then played himself in the film and won them all again just for the cameras!
Sorry guys, I guess he really was a hero, but he was a bad actor!!
