ace combat4

ok guys i was wondering, for those who have played this game on PS2, can you provide any way to make this game more challenging? its a great game and amazing for dog fights, but even on the hardest level i have completed it within a day. i went as far as only using the A10 and F4 aircraft to try and make it last longer. so any suggestions?
cheers

You mean you've completed the game on hardest difficulty with an S rating on every level? (to get the secret aircraft)
If you have, how did you get past the Whiskey corridor? Rock solid!

guess i havent fully completed it as i dont have said aircraft but that'll soon change, as for that level if you have the stealth bomber use it, i found it works well. as does the F15 active. and stay below a 1000 feet as much as possible hit em low hit em fast:)

y2,
As I recall Ace Combat 4 has a "Head-to-Head" feature, have you tried playing against someone?  Perhaps that would make AC4 more challanging for you.

haha, finally completed it.the secret aircraft is the X-02 or something along those lines, its really cool, folds up on its self when it speeds up. good air to air and air to ground, has a huge payload, only problem was the thing is real expensive and i had to sell off a few planes to get.
and maccers on the last level, you gotta destroy all the aircraft as well as the main target to get an s rating

Naa not that mission, i ment the one in the desert where you provide air support for the tanks on the ground.
I've tried bombing with the A-10 (get anoyed by constant fighters) and with the F-16A (spend too much time flying around fighters ::)) I can always get an A rating but never a S, theres just not enough time to hit all those targets.
Just a point, ive completed it on all other dificulties. 8)

yeah thats the one i was on about, it took me many a try to finally get it, i found if you go to the very top of the map where the camp is and work down, that way you have less distance to travel on the refuling legs. if you use the F15 active and the fuel explosive bomb it'll wipe out the large areas of the northen camp in short time then do the same with the camp in the east, then the main front is easy enough to take out with just missiles take it slower in that area, ignore the fighters for as long as possible, they have low point value and take the same amount of time as it would for 4 or 5 ground targets. get the apaches and A10's though. then its just a case of mopping up in the final few seconds, i litterally got the S rating with 2 seconds to spare, its something like 6300 points,

On a different note(sorry about switching gears), has anyone got into modding their X-Box to run Evolution-X? It looks pretty cool and a cheap way to get a decent computer for media/game programs. Also, since I changed gears here, has anybody downloaded FlightGear? It looks kinda cool, it's free, and is supposed to run on MAc, Linux, and Windows OS's.
