He said he was using different flap combinations.
One thing though, this is only in this plane right? No other problems.
Sounds like the controls are not near sensitive enough. I don't have this plane but is there maybe any kind of hydraulic system for the controls you need to turn on? If it was off, you would have almost no control, which sounds like this situation.
