Thank you! (I think) Zero to Mach 1 in 3 months!

Greetings!

In later November I purchased the base copy of FSX with the inexpensive Logitech control stick, thinking that my son may enjoy it. I was totally wrong - he didn't get past "meh".

So, I thought I would try it. What a rabbit hole that became!!! I am by nature a tweaker, and FSX opened up an entire new universe.

First I found this site, and then others, and applied SP1, SP2, and read and discovered the joys of UTX, GEX, FSGenesis, Addit Pro!, REX, and other really cool tools to manipulate the FSX environment.

This site has aircraft galore, ranging from my sole (for now) payware plane (love the A2A P-51, although I am not really sure about how much I like "owning" one) to Dino Cattaneo and his remarkable F-35 for FREE!

Found some really responsive people, a friendly environment, and lots and lots of help if needed.

However, I think I have a problem... I just fired up my new hot-rod PC that I assembled (MSI Z77 running i7 3770K so I can overclock to my heart's content), and will be recreating my FSX environment, carefully, step by step (thank you, Nick Needham and others). My wife, still slightly amused, will forever see the back of my head now.

So, thank you! I think... ;)

One more thing.....

You are in the right spot for getting the most outta FSX, or FS9 for that matter, because I was a total noob about things before I found this site.

I've learned so much about so much since joining!
