In the Shupe ac520 (download= 1ac520v3.zip) the nav/gps switch is on the 'overhead' panel. It's visible in the 2d cockpit.
In the VC: you can toggle the overhead using Shift+5. There is an error in the panel.cfg so the overhead panel display/hide icon (just above the heading indicator) does not work. To correct it open the panel.cfg, go to the [Window04] section and change the ident=240 to ident=250.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
