Are there any plans by MS to replace the existing FSX?

Yes they tried flight... and it was cancelled within a few months... ms is trying to figure out what went wrong with one free plane and the main hawaiian island, no AI, no ATC, Horrible Phisycs, $50 crappy alaska, and $20 Mustang with no cockpit at all, and they're trying to figure out where they went wrong

I loaded MS Flight then I deleted MS Flight. I might as well resolve to the fact that FSX is here to stay for the the near future.

I foresee that FS 2004 and FSX will satisfy most of our needs for some time yet...

Don't forget the open source 'Flightgear' ... and being open source means the sky is the limit as far as development is concerned.

Problem with Flightgear is that not enough attention is paid to it. If is was, it could be the way of the furture.
