Multiple Exits

Postby SkyHawk00 » Sat Sep 29, 2012 4:48 pm

I am seeing many aircraft have multiple exits and am wondering why i cant open them. I press Shift-E then tap 2, 3, 4 etc... but it only opens the first exit. is there a special setting i need to make? or a .cfg tweak?

No all exits are animated, some are just drawn for show.

Try the default Airbus or b747. If your sequence is right all exits, including emergency, and cargo doors should open.(edit; see Rick's reply below to get all exits working on these aircraft)

Press and release (Shift+E). Then quickly press 1,2,3,4. Should open all animated exits.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

I do that, and only get the first exit open or the number 2 panel... Even when the '2' is pressed almost instantly

If a panel is opening, it sounds like your not releasing the Shift key.

After pressing (Shift+E), release both keys. Then press the number keys for the exits you want to open/close.

Here's a trick I learned from reading fs forums for the 737 and 747.  If you go into your cfg file you will find and entry saying 'exits'. It should say 2--just change that to 3. I can open all the exit doors this way.

Thanks for the reminder Rick.   :)

Been so long since I applied that 'tweak', I'd forgotten.
