FSX heat haze effect?

I think he is implying a real time one.

There is one attached to a freeware Iris F-15 package that is really good, but it lags a lot. If you know how to edit an aircraft's config file, it is not too hard to add it in.

There is a heat haze effect that comes with the default F-18 updated by the guys at FSX Blue Angels. Doesnt look too bad, and Im sure you could transfer the effect to other aircraft.

The CLS A330/A340 models have a heat haze effect however it casts shadows upon the ground which looks rather odd.
