Problem with screen on change of views in FSX

have just had to re- install Win7 on my PC, so had to re-install FSX as well.

The re-install went well, no problems, registered ok and can fly around Ok.

the problem is that when I change a view (say to spot view from cockpit) the screen goes blank then flashes then I get the view requeted. this happens whenever I change anything -  new views, changing the weather, clock options - virtually everytime I change the screen it happens.

so is this FSX or is or something with my PC?

FSX worked perfectly before I had to re-install so I'm thinking PC.

Any ideas would be most welcome
