Engine Start full throttal

Postby BlackAce » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:03 am

Before I got the NGX, the defualt 737, and every other plane,  when you start an engine it goes to full power then idles down.  This even happens to Payware products.  So is there a fix out there that can fix it?

it goes up to full throttle because a little bit too much fuel was put in the combustion chamber so when it gets lit off the residual fuel gets lit off also and its like putting full throttle. this happens with every engine in the game so you have nothing to worry

Methinks you may have a problem, but I don't know what the fix would be.

I have more than a few paywares that are defaulted cold-n-dark loads and none of those have any sorta full (or partial) uncontrolled throttle-ups upon ignition.  I also have a few freewares that are cold-n-dark loads too, and on those there never is any sorta surge on start-up.

Does it do the same thing if you shutdown and restart?  If it doesn't then you may have a loading difficulty that has some sorta faulty initial throttle setting.

I ain't FSX savvy enough to suggest what to look for relative to what the problem may be, but there's lots of very smart folks around these parts that may be able to help out.

Anyone able to provide any suggestions for BlackAce?

I know there's a fix somehow....seen this sorta prob get addressed before but cannot find the thread, probably cause it's been quite some time since it was posted....like possibly a year plus or so ago.

Most of the problems there, seem to be the confusion between the words; "Break", and "Brake".... ;)..!

Break: The Nose-wheel; following a bad landing.... :'(...!

Brake: Time to stop, after landing, before reaching the end of the runway!.... :o...!

Paul... ;D...!

I was thinking of this

"Make sure you have your throttle calibrated on your joy stick properly."

and this

"Look for the line ThrottleLeverPctSet it to =0."

I'm quite familiar with the word "break". :'(

I can squish landing gear and other imortant components on a sometime regular basis from time to time, so me and the queries: 'It broke!' and 'Did it break again?' and the most popular one related to my landings 'Holy cripes! How did you manage to break that?' :D  Are most familiar!

What any jet engine start you YouTube.  It doesn't go up to full power then back to idle.  So can I edit something to stop that from happening?

Is your throttle in control or is it not?
How about your mixture?

This could be tied to your default flight as settings/situations from the default flight are loaded when you start the sim and can carry over to flights you create at start up.

Set up a flight, cold and dark if you wish. Make sure throttles are at minimum, and that AP and A/T are off. Save it, making it your default flight.

Another thing to try is to cycle your throttles, returning them to minimum before engine start up.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
