You will most likely find that most Multiplayers use the FS Host Server for all their flights.
http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/FS 2004 and FS Nav Pilots connect directly to any FS Host Server with the drop-down Multiplayer Menu.
FSX Pilots connect to the same FS Host Server via "FS Host Client"!
Very few Pilots use "Gamespy" for FSX and FS 2004, on-line flights.
Multiplayer Pilots use FS 2002, FS 2004, and FSX!
