FSX gone missing - ish

Hi all,

Last night Fri 3rd I was playing game called Qube when suddenly it dropped to desktop, didn't see what was happening right away - there was four copies of fs2004 running.

Today sat, I booted up to have a fly around with phoenix rc and I noticed icon for fsx was missing.
It's gone from desktop, task bar and also from start/programs, complete entry from start menues has gone but fsx is still there where it was installed, runs ok,  anybody else experienced anything similar and did they find the cause.
