Does anybody know what these vents on the F18 do?

I was setting up for a shot for my round the world trip and I noticed these 2 vents popping up n down in the back of my f18 I've never noticed them before and was wondering what there for? Does anybody know?

I would guess that it's a cooling vent for some engine component, but to know for sure youd have to find the manual or something for the F/A-18E.

@FoxThree Are you sure that is correct because in that paragraph it says 'The vent lines connect all internal tanks and are ported through the fuselages and vertical tail vent tanks to outlets located on the side of the vertical tail.'

The vents I am referring to are on the fuselage.

On page 55 it points to the top of fuselage near the base of the tail for the location of the vents.
