Postby FSX_Dude » Sun Oct 30, 2011 2:37 pm

I have been flying the R22 Beta II lately (Alot of time in it now) and I really want to
Manualy start the R22 but when I do the Engine RPM Just drops and it fails to start.I have checked many forums about it and Youtube and they all failed me and I have tried many times to start it.So any help would be thanked.

Are you following the startup procedure from the kneeboard?

Are you letting the RPMs spool up into the green before trying to raise the collective?

cheers,
Joe
Don't argue with idiots, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I have done a cold and dark startup many times in FS9 and it works.

I guess I have never tried it in FSX as I just did and got the same results.

Engine starts OK, then dies as soon as I engage the clutch.

Hopefully someone has an answer, I will keep trying to figure it out.

BTW, you do know there is a typo in the checklist.

The checklist says to set the mixture full rich with F3. That should be Ctrl+Shift+F3.

cheers,
Joe

I poked around the forums at Hovercontrol today and found a post stating the changes implemented in sp2/Acceleration in preparation for the EH-101 "broke" the R22 clutch.

Apparently there is no fix.

cheers,
Joe
