Instrument Positions on Panel...(2D panel).

In simple terms...

X Pixels across the screen from the L/H side.
Y Pixels up the screen from the bottom.
x Instrument width in pixels.
y Instrument height in pixels.

Your Instrument seems to be a full size instrument; whole screen!

Paul.. 8-)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Those parameters are not only applicable to the 2D panel but, depending upon how
the VC is designed they also specify the VC gauge layout.

The Y parameter is the displacement from the TOP of the screen, not the bottom.

X = position from the left hand edge
Y= position from the top of the screen
x= width of then gauge
y= height of the gauge

Many "hidden gauges" use 0,0,1,1 specifications.
The entry for the HUD gauge the OP references is meant to fill the whole screen
as you have stated.

Thanks for the reminder/correction of the up/down "Y" position, Paul... :)...!

I'm getting lazy now!...I use FS Panel Studio now, instead of all my previous X/Y calculations!....(Cheat!)... ;D...!

the first 2 numbers correspond to the upper left-most corner of the gauge being called.

20,20,22,22  (the upper left corner of the gauge will be 20 pixels from the left edge of the screen, 20 pixels down from the top, 22pixels wide, 22 pixels tall)

Thanks guys. :)

In fact, that is a HUD for the VC.

Yeah- I got tired of the time required to place a gauge precisely, too.  If you get FS Stodio, be sure to buy the disk version.  Trying to re-download once you need a reinstall is about as frustrating as dealing with the folks at microcrap, uh, microsoft.
