Hey all,

Desperately trying to get aircraft arrestor cables to work.....what I have done so far.

1) followed instructions per program. - nope....
2) d/l and installed AI carriers 2- works no arr cables
3) start arrestor cables program after FSX...It detects fsx and plane etc.
3) d/l and install Taskforce HiDef Pack http://www.taskforcefsx.com/aicarriers.html

um works ...no arrestor cable
have FSPUIC latest version...works...as in I can turn it on, use it to lower tail hook, get the meatball up but not lit? and can land on deck...sounds right, plane pulls up pretty short....and appears to be working? but cannot see the cables?

No catapult... is that separate? according to readme...should work....

why oh why is there not a simple executable for me the short bus rider to click and ouila there are magical cables on any carrier I place using AI Carriers?

You will not see the cables, no program actually shows the cables.

Thanks for your reply....I was under the impression that I would see the cables. I have not yet figured out the catapult...will look into this a bit more. I did not see any red boxes...I will attempt several screenshots later tonite.

I never upgraded to acceleration but might this week..wondering if one can see the cables in that version>?

I maybe wrong, but I thought that I read someplace you had to have Acceleration installed before you could do carrier landings and take offs.

This may have been before AICarriers and ArrestorCables came along though.

just a quick guess, you may need Acceleration pack.
