Windows 7 and FSX

Postby Flying Trucker » Thu Sep 22, 2011 7:21 am

Good morning all... :)

I just got this computer back after two weeks and seem to have lost many items for FSX.

Total upgrade with Windows 7.

I can not seem to bring up the top information line when in flight.
I used to be able to go between both cockpits and change the weather, aircraft etc...while in flight.

It used to show in Vista by pushing the ALT Button but that does not work for me in Windows 7.

I did not install Service Pack 2 as it said to install Service Pack 1 and Acceleration.
Hope that is right as that is what I did.

Any help would be most appreciated in getting FSX back up and working especially with the information line showing while in flight.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Hi Doug !

Your FSX in Windows 7 should work exactely like it did in Vista.
If you cannot see the menu bar, that might be linked to the settings of your video card, in Windows. When the Antialiasing is set too high for example, this can cause some troubles in the FSX display.

What did they change on this computer ? Did they only change the operating system, or did they change some hardware too ?

Doug, I have just upgraded my whole system with a new computer and Windows 7. FSX functions for me just as it did with Vista......

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
