That Annoying View Informer!

Postby Jake Bourdon » Sun Sep 18, 2011 2:54 pm

Hey everyone. I was just curious, that Red text in the top right corner of the screen when in FSX that tells you which view you're in and the zoom, etc. Is there ANY way to get rid of it? Thanks in advance! :)

It goes away by it self if you don't adjust the view for a while.
I'd like to know if there was a way to get rid of it though because it's a pain when your trying to take screenshots!

[glow=yellow,2,300]Back up your original fsx.cfg[/glow]
Open it with notepad
Find the [Display] section,
Change these:

[Display]
ChangeTime=0.000000
TransitionTime=0.000000

Hope this helps
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Do you have "show hidden files and folders" enabled?

C:/users/(user name)/app data/roaming/microsoft/fsx

you must have SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS checked in order to see the APP DATA or anything beyond.
