Tweaking question - black/white flashes

Postby mfaulisi » Mon Aug 15, 2011 10:44 am

I just got my new PC last week, installed FSX per Nick's guide and added only the tweaks he mentioned + the highmemfix one.  Everything looks outstanding and runs smooth, but I get white or black flashes every once in a while on various parts of the terrain or sky and only for a split second.  I'm guessing they're artifacts?  I haven't done the Nvidia Inspector install/tweak yet, but will that help or is there another way to eliminate them?  They don't happen often or for long so I can live with them if need be, but I'd rather not.

I have an i7 2600k @ 4.4 gHz (HT on) and a GTX 570 if it mattes.

Thanks in advance.

I seem to recall having something similar a long time ago. It seemed to happen if I had  "cockpit tool tips"  enabled in the settings.  Disable that feature, if you have it on, and see if that helps.

I have that checked off because it said it fixes an Nvidia glitch in NickN's guide.
