Audible Callsigns

Postby Sir Puma » Sat Aug 06, 2011 6:53 pm

I recently downloaded the 169 Liveries Collection Pack for Default B737-800 V3. Great job and many thanks to the folks involved in making that available. I noticed that it actually gives the pilot voice and ATC the ability to audibly say the callsign. But when I add callsigns for other aircraft that I have DL into the airlines.cfg file and in the aircraft.cfg file the program won't say the name. Is that a function built into the texture file for the livery? Or am I just missing something?

To have ATC speak a callsign:

In the aircraft.cfg file you should edit (or add if not present) 2 lines in the [fltsim.n] section of the aircraft variation you are wanting to configure.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks Dave. I guess it was just too much to hope that I could put in an airline I used to work for that is now defunct and have it actually say the name. Oh well. :-[ :'(

I actually saw a thread where you had posted about that so I played with it and was able to create it. The airline was Renown Aviation and the call sign I believe was just Renown. I was able to make it by clipping "Reno" and "Go Around" sound clips. :D
