Question about Nick's Guide

I should be getting my new PC next week and I want to tune it with Nick's guide, but I had a couple questions.  I know the tweaking parts still apply even though it hasn't been updated in a while, but are all the downloads still valid or are any superseded?  (e.g. C++ update, NET Framework version, etc.)  I know that the O&O Defrag version is up to 14 I think so that got me thinking about the other recommended downloads.

They're still pretty much up to date, but, when your done installing, run Windows update, just to make sure
