You can set the values so that full movement is only 25% but you need additional software to do it.

If you know where the calibration values are in the registry inside out, you can do it without the software.

Now hoping I'm not effecting Logitechs rights:
I was having trouble with a new Logitech joystick several years ago and they sent me a program that allows you to tweak the settings even to the point where even if the controls are linear, you can add some exponential into the range so that for example, a small amount of movement gives you very fine control but more gives you lots more movement of the control surface.
It will also totally delete any calibration values from the registry.

I'll check if I still have that program by Logitech and see if the is a way I can upload it to here, I've never uploaded anything but jpg's

I've only used it on my xp based pc, don't know if it would work on vista/win7.


Update: I have the program and it does work on win 7.
