



Also CCleaner doesn't reduce RAM usage.




It may well be your running out of memory. My suggestion other than add more ram, would be to download CCleaner if you don't already have it.
Then after you have flown one or two flights, close FSX, run CCleaner and try again. It would be a good idea to run CCleaner before you fire FSX up the first time as well.

In this particular instance it was tinkering with the Solomon Islands 1943 scenery that did it. The fix for me on this one was to un-tinker the AI ships and delete then replace the fsx.exe and visualfx.dll files.
