ACC ?

Postby kenuck » Sat May 28, 2011 7:44 pm

Other than offering the missions to "play" with, does ACC do anything else within FSX, also, if its a senario wherebye you dont use these ACC missions is it advantageouse to delete ACC and install the SP2, Ive read all kinds of comments about ACC v SP 2, but to be candid I dont know which route to take, so thought I,d ask the question here in the forum, TIA for all and any input...Cheers

to my knowledge all Acceleration adds, is SP2, a few airplanes, carriers that you can cat/launch from, and the missions.

with the stand alone sp2, you do not get any airplanes (but you can download them yourself), Carriers .. (get "aicarriers1.zip" from http://www.fs-freeware.net/flight-simul ... arriers-1/ ), and make your own missions with the FSX SDK.

you dont have to have Acceleration to have FSX sp2, as I have WIN7 SP1, FSX sp2 non-acceleration. [all of my features can be found in my signature]

Probably too late now. As you already have Acceleration successfully installed I can see no advantage in uninstalling it.

What is it you don't like about the missions?

If you uninstall Acceleration, you'll loose some good aircraft and not have compatibility with any other good aircraft that you may want?

I really can,t comment on the missions per-se as I havnt realy looked into them all that much, but thats an interesting comment from J\Hagar with regards to be to being to  late, also interesting comment with regards to not being able to use some aircraft besides loosing some good ones, so, seeing as everything appears to be running to satisfaction I will use the old cliche, "if it aint broke, don,t fix"..But thanks for the input guys....Cheers

i do not have Accelleration, and being that i do have sp2, i have found that SOME (not all) but a small handfull of download craft that are ACCELERATION Req craft still work. I have no clue as to why other than it must be the sp2.

if you already have Accelleration installed, there's no real need to delete/uninstall it... just dont fly the missions.
