I'm no expert... help! (FSX)

The game closes when I repeatedly change view to a different A.I controlled aircraft for about 10 times.

I have 8 gigs ram
Intel I7 - 870
GeForce GTX 570

how much RAM do you have on your vid card??   I am suspecting that your vid card might be hanging and then it shuts down Flight Sim because it can not cope with you changing views so many times.

Does flight sim close randomly or periodically while you are in the middle of a flight even if you are not switching views at all??????

It's an app-hang shutdown.  Used to happen to me a lot.

Then I took the "doctor's" advice.
Stop doing that.
