Postby southwestairlines2487 » Thu Apr 14, 2011 10:07 pm

hello there, im having trouble landing when fs passengers is on,when im landing apperently i cant use the back thrusters to slow the plane down,so im wondering how can i slow the plane down other then that with brakes and flaps all the way out intill i get below 80 knots or w/e it is before i can use back thrusters.

flaps = full
gear = down

as soon as you land, spoilers = deploy

and hit F2 (reversers)... BEFORE you get to 60 KIAS turn off the reversers by giving a little throttle up, then throttle = idle and jam the breaks till you get to 15 KIAS then you can turn off of the runway.

Hi,

press SHIFT + / to set spoilers to auto.
Once the aircrafts systems detects it's weight on the undercarriage, it will deploy the spoliers for you.

As mentioned above, when you give your throttle a quick 'blip' to cancle the reverse thrust, it will also retract the spoiler for you.

The reason for the speed restriction mentioned above is that the engine would ingest it's own exhaust and fodder at the lower speeds.

regards

Steve

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.

thank you guys,now the issue is,i keep geting penalty points course i dont register flight because of that but, it says you have exceeded speed of 250 knots under 10,000 feet,i dont want to go to slow,and i was doing 40% on the throttle,and full flaps as i decend but still geting the you have exceeded speed of 250 knots under 10,000 feet when i click end flight any idea's ?

you cant go over 250knts under 10000ft
if you open the menu (alt key) and under the FSPassengers list look for (request 250knts) then listen to your co-pilot he will tell you if you can go over 250 or not
also read up on the maximum flap speeds for the aircraft you are flying
Here to help and get help!!!

simple solution..... quit going faster than 250 KIAS under 10,000 Feet MSL.  this is a REAL LIFE Limitation on ALL aircraft (except military fighters who have military orders for "intercept / strike".   They are the only planes that are permitted to take off, reach (i think, and i could be wrong on this) Mach 0.80 ~500 KIAS over land, and supersonic over water.    At no time are military allowed to go super sonic over land.

FSPassengers was designed for REALISM.  Do you want the captain of your airplane that you are flying in to break the speed limit below 10,000, or blow out the flaps on decent so that now you have to make an emergency landing with you tucking your head between your legs and kissing your @$$ goodbye???????  What about damaging the landing gear cause you were going to fast???  I highly doubt it.

Think about how SAFE you want to fly somewhere, and then YOU treat your passengers BETTER than you want to be treated.  I am sure you will start gaining points as well as 'company respect'.
