fsx and memory error problem

Postby lowrunner » Thu Apr 21, 2011 1:08 pm

Hey guys need some input with physical memory problem in FSX.

im running (REX) with my FSX. it used to run fine with everything pretty much maxed out with no problems. but heres what i did. i was down loading and trying to install (PMDG MD-11) as with all other pmdg ive tried no-work. made my sim crash, wouldnt even start. same with Wilco except wilco ran but extremly jerky. after uninstalling these progs. my sim still would crash or not start up or give me errors. so i uninstalled the sim and re-installed it,loaded up all my airplanes, re-installed (SKAI TRAFFIC 2.3) and (MY TRAFFIC 5.2) but this time i also loaded up (Ultimate Traffic) but now i get a Error flying from spokane,Wa.(KGEG) to Missoula,MT.(KMSO) about Half way enrout it says:

"ERROR- your computer has run out of available memory. please restart flight simulator and select Different graphics, scenery or traffic settings"

so i uninstalled "Ultumate Traffic" same problem, lowered my Custom settings down atleast 25%, still the same problem. I dont Know What to fix or do !!!!!!!
i opened task manager as i was flying and after my error heres what it showed in the resorce monitor under the performance tab:

In Use:        3242 MB

Modified:       377 MB

Standby:       2119 MB

Free:          6548 MB

26% used physical memory

i dont understand why im getting this error when you can see the free memory i have and thats with everything turned up. !

Heres My system info:

Firts of, where did you install FSX, if its in the default x86 folder it will have all sorts of issues, better off in c:\fsx or another drive, partition. Secondly look up fsx highmem fix
