Older carriers

Postby brettt777 » Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:56 pm

I figured out how to get some carriers in FSX last night and I was very proud of myself because I successfully landed my Bearcat on the Reagan on the first try. But all I have been able to get to come up are the newer carriers. I have a few older WWII and Korean war era carriers and I guess I must be missing something because they won't come up in the sim. The model and texture files are in the Boats directory and they are listed in aicarriers.cfg and the cvn_id.cfg. What could I be missing? I am really interested in the Korean War period of planes and ships (so if anyone knows of any high quality planes from that time...) but I can't get anything older than the Nimitz to come up.

http://www.flyingstations.com/index.html has some nice carriers with self-installers that I use. I find I fly from the Victorious a lot in my Swordfish (also from them)
