FSX SCenery list

Is there a list that tells which scenery number in FSX scenery setup corresponds to which area?

Don't know that there is a list, but:

If you have the SDK installed, open the SDK help file (fsxsdk.chm). Look in the Terrain SDK-Terrain and Scenery section. Under 'Base File Information' you'll find a grid map with the folder naming convention.
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
