Typing in computer/HP/temp doesn't work.  Methinks it's the directory sorta thing.  I have Vista also.

Click on the lower left Windows symbol, when that box opens the right column will have "Computer" listed, click that, then the box that opens will have your PC make (i.e. HP, Dell, etc...).  Mine's HP and when I double-click the HP line/symbol a directory opens that will (should?) have a "temp" folder.

I (self) learned long ago to do auto-installer .exe stuff to this folder with FSX add-ons.  Once the install completes then I do the C&P thingie.

This works for my noobian self at least.  I got tired of failed/misdirected/multiple auto installer FSX gizmos that took longer to correct or re-do than to auto .exe direct to the temp folder and go from there.

Good evening all... :)

Okay Doug and U4EA I have both Muskoka and Barrie/Orillia working...wow...some great scenery...it is kind of like being right there... :)

I see why everyone likes Payware so much.

I lowered my Frame Rates to 24 from unlimited and Fraps is showing somewhere between 19 and 24.

Have also lowered my slider settings from the far right or Nicks settings a few points towards the left to see if that smooths things out.

I see there is some work to do on slider settings.

These folks seem to have put a lot of work into this and it looks good so far.  With Barrie/Orillia and Muskoka the only two airports for FSX and the A1 traffic is awesome.

When I had FS2004 I wish that I had known about there work as they have a lot of airports for that program and well worth the download if you want to fly around parts of Ontario, Canada.

Again thanks for your patience and time folks it is much appreciated and hope to get some shots up this weekend.

Glad you finally got that sorted Doug. I've thought all along that the files were correctly installed.

Now you have it working you might like to try the BCATP scenery from your link. A impressive job with a lot of airfields. No AI traffic yet but they're working on it. A nice touch is that they've prefixed the airfield names with # so they're easy to find on the Airport selection menu. Here's a couple of shots with the Alphasim Cessna Bobcat/Crane & a nice repaint of Dave Garwood's Anson.

Doug, I'm sorry I wasn't around to help with this. I've been away from the house a good bit and when I was online, failed to check this section. I too have gotten in the habit of

directing the auto-installers to a new folder on my desktop and then copying the files to my addon scenery folder. I have flown both Muskoka and Barrie/Orillia with no problems

and it is pretty nice scenery. Glad you got it sorted. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Good morning all... :)

Thanks Doug for those BCATP shots...wonderful

I have not installed the FSX Landclass files for FSX from this site or anything on the British Commonwealth Air Training Program "BCATP" todate.

Will get to that soon enough.

Right now I am doing a daily virus scan update, disc cleanup and then a defrag hoping that will smooth things out.

My thoughts are with Microsoft Flight and wondering if and when it is released will it work with some of these downloads like the BCATP.

Hi Larry...
No problem fine sir.  Glad to hear you have those downloads as well.  I just love the A1 traffic and have watched several touch and goes...wonderful.

Have a great day everyone... ;)

I wouldn't get your hopes up Doug. This is only my opinion of course but I suspect that MS Flight will use a completely new platform. This means no addons from previous versions of FS will be compatible with it.

There's a lot of life left in FSX yet. I haven't had it that long & still getting to grips with it myself.

Thanks Doug and I think you are right.

I have been holding off on purchasing any payware until I see this new Microsoft Flight.

Looking forward to doing a flight with these new downloads but the old girl wants to go purchase some groceries so the flight will have to wait... :P      :-X

I'm with ya on that one.  About the only thing that would be an enhancement for me would be photo-real graphics.  And that would most likely require some sort of bazillion dollar super'puter.

As far as what it is now, and all the add-ons, FSX can take me most anywhere, in most anything, with my choice of time and conditions. :) :) :) :)

You are right there U4EA and there is a lot of good Freeware right here at Simviation that we can add to enhance the simulator until we do see what comes out of Microsoft... ;)
