The Jivko Rusev modification is only impacting the HUD if I'm not mistaken. The reason you are getting a black canopy is maybe linked to something else. Was the Acceleration Hornet displaying correctly before the HUD mod ?
From what I can see in your screenshot, it seems that the quality of the textures is catastrophic, which makes me think that your video card might be overloaded with work and might not be able to display the game correctly anymore...

When ever I load it, the graphics crash, so the video card and my old computer is probably a key factor. Yes, the Acceleration F-18 works beautifully.  When I upgrade from XP to 7 I will check to see if it works. Thanks!
