How can anyone help without knowing what plane(s) are having this problem?  ::)

1) Make sure you have Direct X10 unticked in your settings. Most freeware planes is not compatible with DX10.

2) If the above does not work you will need to be a little more specific.

Your system specs and which specific downloads won't show textures.

"All of them" would suggest that you are not installing them properly

Can you discribe the steps you are taking?

Are you:
Unzipping the folder?

One thing I have always wondered is if it is really necessary to unzip the folder. I never do, and my add-ons work just fine. You are pretty much unzipping it when you drag the files into the FSX directory anyway.

I don't even bother. You can still enter the folder, just with limits like you can't rename folders, but you can still copy and paste them... .Zips are so useless... Besides compressing the file...  ;) ;D
I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.
