Had to re-install FSX already!

I installed FSX just 10 days ago and already I had to redo it.
I installed the sim on a separate 500gb HD and a few days ago a little window pops up asking if I want to back-up my files. Well, I decided it was not a bad idea because of all my 9gb of pictures I had taken over the past several years. After the back up was done I went to play the sim and it was gone. The back-up had wiped everything out that was on the HD. I re-installed it back on the same drive and hit "back-up my files". This time I didn't lose anything. I am so glad I had a just a few files I had downloaded to build up my hanger.
