FSX In Game Menus

Postby Dave4468 » Sat Jan 29, 2011 6:50 am

For some reason FSX has randomly broken and I don't know why.

FSX simply won't recognise me right clicking to bring up the in game menu and also wont recognise me pressing Alt to bring up the menu at the top of the screen. When I try to assign them to an action elsewhere FSX doesn't think I'm pressing anything.

Both keys work fine outside of FSX and FSX seems to pick up everything else I press, click or move on a joystick. I'm using 64bit W7 and FSX SP2.

It seemed to work fine one day and the next day its broken.

Thanks for any help.

Is that the only possible solution? I don't to have to sit and re-install FSX and everything else I have with it.

what were the last 3 things that you installed, one of those installations probably messed something up.

when uninstalling, it will ask you if you want to save your personalized folders, tell it yes. it will leave behind the ADDON SCENERY, REWARDS, SIM OBJECTS (AIRCRAFT), EFFECTS, and GAUGES folder.  everything else will be removed. you need to keep the MODULES folder just in case you have installed FSUIPC or other modules.

rename your fsx.cfg then restart fsx, if it starts ok and menues are OK, have you installed any addons that may be causing your problem?
May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.
