Textures missing on aircraft and helo.

Hello all,
I have not logged in for a long time, but recently purchased flight simulator X after having used FS4 for years. to complete the choice of airplanes in my game, I downloaded a few items for Simviation : the Volpar and a Huey and also the Legacy 2000. All these birds are updated by their creators from FS4 to FSX. It look like the plane downloaded are there but all the textures and in some case the gauges are gone. Is there something I missed in the installation ?

I think you mean FS9. If you have DirectX Preview enabled in FSX Display Settings try disabling it.

As far as I remember, the direct X preview is turned off, but I will double check. Sorry for this late answer, but I am not an internet addict and was away from my keyboard for the week-end !

It sounds like you're missing some gauges. Make sure you installed them correctly. If they still don't work post links to where I can download the aircraft to check them out.

I will have to double check for the links (I am not an internet expert). all I can say for know is that I found this Volpar in the FSX "propellers" directory, and as far as I know there is only one choice with 2 sets of textures. The Gauges file is called RobinsonR22.cab and whould be copied in the gauges directory of FSX (which I did). About the aircraft body textures, t hey are now visible after disablingthe Dircet X 10 preview, thank !

I downloaded the file to check it out & the missing gauges are FS9 defaults. If you still have FS9 you can copy them from the CD. Note that it's an FS9 model 'updated' by a third party for FSX so please don't blame the original author.

Here's a list of the gauges you need.  You should find most of them in MSGAME3.CAB on FS2004 CD-2.
