FTX PNW

Postby jimm57 » Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:51 am

Santa got me the Orbx FTX Pacific Northwest add on scenery for Christmas. All I can say is WOW. If you don't have it, GET IT! A most wonderful and well worth it scenery package. I updated it to the latest service pack and it flies smooth on my mediocre machine. Lotsa detail to see and enjoy! :D

When the 'WOW' begins to subside, ::) go get PFJ (Pacific Fjords). Then when that 'WOW' begins to subside, go get PNR (Pacific Northwest Rockies). PFJ extends to the north of PNW. PNR is to the east of them both. The

image below is from PNR and shows PNW coverage in light blue, PFJ in purple, and PNR in black. Notice that PNR is almost twice the size of PNW.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks for the FTX coverage pic Larry. I just bought the boxed FTX scenery DVDs of PNW and PNR. Should have them sometime this week. Just couldn't live without this scenery any longer.  ;D

One thing I liked was the pdf file explaining the settings. I followed their advice and am pleased with the performance.
Good schtuff.
