New windows in FSX

Postby djbozz » Mon Dec 06, 2010 4:34 pm

Is there a way of having other windows appear in FSX while flying? (PlanG, nDAC3) etc, without swapping windows & pausing, like the kneeboard, gps etc?.

I don't know if it's possible to place an external app. in an FSX window unless it's designed to do so, but here's how I run Plan-G...

In FSX goto Settings>General and uncheck 'pause on task switch'. It'll keep running

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

HI, could you not run 2 monitors and leave it running on the other monitor rather than switching views, same as undocking views/windows method?

And: your yellow plane on the graphics is over my house

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.

Hi Dave,

You say you've corrected the ils problem, how did you do it?
Which editor did you use, I've used afcad2 before on fs9, can it be used on fsx as well?

The doncaster/ ILS that I have is the default one built into fsx.

regards

Steve

ps nearly time to get back to work  :)

Steve,

I used ADE, requires you have the FSX SDK installed.

Cheers Dave, now if only i can get sdk to appear in fsx  :)

One problem i had whilst installing the sdk following the fsinsider guide I think it was, was that the dotnetfix said i was trying to install an older version.
I'm not 100% sure where i got the install guide from?

regards

Steve
