Hi Alan. If the new aircraft is listed on the Free Flight menu you obviously got that bit right.

Which aircraft are you trying to install? This sounds like a common problem with some FS9 aircraft in FSX. It's caused by the FS9 style Aircraft.cfg entries, nothing to do with Windows 7.
