Trim of any control surface (elevator included) is one of the most basic things you learn when learning to fly.  It sounds like you should go through the flying lessons that are part of FSX in which the basics of flying are covered.
Don't ask an aviator if he flys fighters.

Hi dvir1161,

It depends on the instrument panel whether you will see an indicated change in elevator trim, it's normally numeric pad keys 1 for trim up and 7 for trim down but these can be changed and can be assigned to your joystick buttons.

Some trim instruments will have TO at the side, this is 'take off' position, move the trim setting using the above keys so the trim marker is close to the TO position.

Go back to basics, take the single prop cessna up, set rpm to around 2200 and hold level flight with the joystick to begin with, let the speed stabilise, should be no flaps at that point.

If you are holding level flight by pulling the joystick backwards, press button 1 on the numeric pad a few times then start to relax on the joystick, ie, let it return to centre, if the planes' nose goes down, you need more trim up and vice versa if nose is going up down and you were pushing joystick away from you.

You may have 'missed' something in your earlier flights.

Just go back to the early lessons.

regards
Steve

hi, working fine if i click on it.
opens up a new window

Autobrake, autopilot??? there is one problem with both of these and it's the word auto.

What if Mr auto fails and thats the only way you have been flying.
Which Airbus have you been flying?

regards
Steve
