looking for fsx gold version in stores

Postby bombardier » Mon Sep 20, 2010 4:25 pm

I know it is a long shot.

I want fsx gold version which I'm looking in stores. hopeing to get a new computer with the fsx gold version installed on it around christmas time. it may have windows 7 on it but if there is a way to have windows xp on it I take that but the support drivers for xp will be discontinued soon from microsoft. and wondering if I can google xp drivers and dl them if I knew my build and version numbers. but anyway, I want the fsx gold version before the microsoft filght comes out around christmas. unless microsoft will still support the fsx gold version.  I might keep the gold version if I can find it in the stores.

was it clear enough for  you seems a little chopy to me as I read it.

I am still seeing FSX Gold at various "Best Buy" stores around here. You could also try online retailers.

Also, whoever told you Microsoft Flight is coming out this Christmas is full of it. Maybe Christmas 2011, but definitely not this upcoming one.

The WallyWorld in my little podunk town has it.

I see it when I check to see if there's anything new on the shelf every now and again.......seen FSX Gold gone once, but then it was restocked.

Like Sean said, BestBuy has it all the time.  If you're an online shopper, I've seen it on Amazon and quite a few other sites too.

It was in an article. They claimed that Flight would be out by Christmas of 2010. Might have been a typo. (could be 2011) May not be true at all.

Ha ha ha! sounded kind of like an anatomy part or a disease of some sort when I first read it ;D
Turns out it's this :(: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urea
Funny typo ;)
p.s. U4EA is right though, Wal-Mart ALWAYS has a copy of FSX gold but, you may be better off buying on-line :)

Seriously though, thank you for taking the time to express your gratitude, "bombardier". It is appreciated.

Dude it's no big deal. It's just a typo. We're all pretty laid back here.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

A lot of stores should still have it. Purchasing online (Amazon, Play.com, etc) is also a good bet.

Please allow me to be the first to reccomend you do not go with Windows XP. The security updates are running out and it's a really really reallly really really old operating system. You're looking to play a modern game, run it on a modern operating system. System performance will not be an issue, it's going to be a modern computer and it will run just fine. You're going to have to upgrade one day, so make it today. XP is an awful choice for a new computer. Vista or 7 are great choices. 7 is the more modern of the two, so go for that.

I think you got to passionate about upgrading that you said Vista was "good"
;D

Seriously though, if your gonna get a new machine make it Windows 7, it will be more modern and you will get a much better experience with Win 7.
