Log on to shut downaircraft

Postby DenisH » Sat Sep 11, 2010 8:00 am

I'm embarrassd to ask this Q but I can't locate a solution anywhere in the forum. I have been flying a Pilatus P-12 and haven't figured a way to save it so it's totally shut down when I next log on to fly. The engine is unstarted but all the other systems are a "go".  Is there something I'm doing wrong?  I would like to have the shutdown (am I using correct language?) aircraft as my default. Hope I'm not confusing anyone. Thanks.

I have this same problem with the Eastern 727-100 on this site, as well as the Airstar 717-200. I am understanding that the engine is shut down when you start a flight? Same problem here, no idea how to fix it. Maybe an edit in the .cfg or .air file? :-?
I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.

Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.

I just want to have a cold start when I log on. If I save a flight that begins with all systems go that's what I get the next time I log on even though I turned off the systems when I logged out. I'm trying to find a way to get a cold start all the time on certain aircraft.  Therte has to be a way to do this but damned if I can figure it out. Of course, I'm an English Lit major do I have an excuse  for being so puter illiterate ::)

In foregoing, I meant to say after I have saved the flight and made it my default flight before I logged out.

There's an open field in the Controls Options under "Engine Controls" called "Automatic Shutdown". Set this and use it to turn the plane off. I have had problems shutting down several aircraft (including the Pilatus you're using) but this seems to do it.
