[Sorry] FSX B777 VC AGAIN

Postby cx826 » Fri Aug 27, 2010 11:50 am

Just making this clear, I am using FSX default settings, I DO NOT have direct x10, how do you guys get your B777 VC to work?
It doesn't matter if you cant answer all question, please try one though!

Here are my problems:
1. Nothing in VCSolved using a different a/c (UA 777)
2. OR VC is frozen, just plain white or black colour or it doesn't let me go to VC cuz its frozen, I can only press Esc.
3.2D Cockpit has no gagues (also solve by using UA 777 and getting the right effects and gauges)

The only problem remains is that when i get into VC, I can see everything, except I cannot do anything (frozen) but Escape, or move my mouse around. Everytime I press any other button I hear the sound ding from the computer as if this command cannot be done...

IT will works ONLY if you have Service Pack 1 and Service pack 2(SP1 & SP2)
I feel you already know this, but just in case

FS9-SDK deliveries won't work too well without these two Updates

oh man sorry, I couldn't log on.

It is all POSKY B777 that I have tried to download. The only B777 that works for me is the paywares. And sometimes it doesn't even work for B767 and B757 that I downloaded here in this website.

Ah, I never knew it only works for FSX with SP1 and SP2 service update. Ill try that. Currently I have some trouble with the FSX, it cant load after I install the SP2

if you have Acceleration ,you don't need to add these updates .

Also: I thought you mean the fs2004 's 777 ,anyways Posky its being releasing FSX-SDK original models lately(If you have a VC in the folder Model 2 mdl files like
example:
777.mdl
777_interior.mdl <----if this file is not encryped in a single file then is a FSX-SDK made

if the model is original FSX-SDK made, then the problem would be other

No, its just the FSX Deluxe. Is Accerlation avalible for free as an update or would have to buy Gold...? Cuz Deluxe cost me a lot of money in my opinion

Okay, do you know which B777 in simviation that has FSX-SDK?

Gold is the complete SP1&2 plus acceleration ,I am not sure if Acceleration is still available ,Yes Is a payware from Microsoft ,But with the most recent FSX-Gold you don't need to buy Acceleration

do you know which B777 in simviation that has FSX-SDK?

I do have a posky 777 and its free ,I'll check this up BRB

No its Fs9-SDK with VC  made BUT it shouldn't gives you problem at all Perhaps the 70% of all freeware available at this moment are made using this old format

Definitely get the service packs. It wont hurt anything.... and at the very least, will allow other addons to work.

As for your trouble with the Posky 777, your not alone. They initially made this as an FS9 aircraft, therefore several things do not work in FSX. However over time there have been tweaks, fixes, and even updates from Posky themselves to make them FSX compatible. You can go to the Posky site and download model packages made for FSX now, as well as get all the vc files you need. Adding a vc can be confusing if you have not done it before, and are new to using Posky models. If you go this route, you HAVE to make sure to get a model made to have a virtual cockpit. The models file will look something like this; VC>SP2A F Large Cargo door (OS772LRFV2--L_VC)

Then you will also need to get the correct panel package. I'd recommend the 32-bit texture set, and you will need the actual SP2 panel set. Make sure you put the textures for the vc in the texture folder for your aircrafts main textures.

If this is all too confusing, just download the package I put together which includes everything you will need, and just a few easy steps to get everything setup;

Half way down the page, United 777 new color package.

Hey thanks gtirob01!
I have tried adding the VC, it is confusing and lots of steps, I never know where I went wrong thanks for the link too, ill try right after I finish downloading it!

As for alrot, I think the problem is more like my computer's fault cuz I uninstalled the SP2, it is still doing the same thing to me, ill try to clean up the files in my computer and see again. My computer is not made for games...

Oh yeah lots of problems kind of disappeared. Except as you have seen above where I edited my first post, there are one problem remaining.
------------------------------------------------------------

So I downloaded the UA 777, move the gagues to FSX folder (not sure if there are anyother gagues other than the ones I found in the aircraft I downloaded),
